Infosys Acquires Digital Services and Consulting Agency Blue Acorn iCi

Indian IT consulting giant Infosys announced today that it will take over the digital services and consulting agency Blue Acorn iCi. According to Infosys, the digital customer experience, strategy, retail, design, engineering and analytical skills of the Platinum Adobe Solution Partner will be strengthened by expanding the company’s overall customer experience service.

Blue Acorn iCi has over a decade of experience providing services to Fortune 500 brands in a variety of industries including media, consumer products, retail, financial services, manufacturing, and technology. Along with acquiring creative agency Wongdoody in 2018, Infosys hopes to further deepen its ability to help global CMOs and companies transform their digital commerce.

“The acquisition of Blue Acorn iCi is another major milestone in Infosys ‘journey to build capabilities relevant to our customers’ digital priorities and reaffirms our commitment to the Adobe ecosystem,” said Ravi Kumar S, President of Infosys, in a statement. “We are excited to welcome Blue Acorn iCi and its leadership team to the Infosys family.”

Infosys hopes the acquisition will gain the upper hand in the Adobe, Magento, Salesforce Commerce and Shopify ecosystems as Blue Acorn iCi is “one of the first Adobe Platinum partners to specialize in AEM and Magento”.

“By joining the Infosys family, Blue Acorn iCi will be able to better serve our customers and their customers by increasing our size, technical acumen, global reach and creative abilities [and] Consumer Insight expertise, ”added Chris Guerra, Co-CEO of Blue Acorn iCi, in the statement. “Together we will be able to offer unrivaled services and insights to help companies become the new leaders in digital experiences [and] Trade.”

The acquisition is expected to close in the third fiscal quarter of 2021. Blue Acorn iCi was previously owned by Beringer Capital, the former owner of Adweek.
