Newsletters are hot again.

The media has called it the “Substack Revolution”. Journalists, venture capitalists, marketers – everyone seems to start a newsletter these days.

However, with more newsletters comes more choice, making it harder than ever to get rid of the noise and find newsletters worthy of your inbox.

To help, we asked the 13,900 members of Ahrefs Insider, our customer-only Facebook group, to vote for their favorite marketing newsletters. We also surveyed our audience on LinkedIn and Twitter, as well as a few other marketing Facebook groups.

It also has two layers: a free light version and a paid version that contains the thoughts of Marie and other experts about what is happening in the world SEO World.

Every day, Saijo curates and sends its subscribers important digital marketing messages from the previous day. It’s a great way to see what’s happening without having to switch between different news sites.

He quickly realized that the analysis was the most valuable part of his newsletter and the rest, as they say, is history.


When you sign up for Growth Memo, you will receive an email with an in-depth look at one aspect of growth marketing. Kevin will give you a few links to explore further later if you’re interested in what he shared.

Four more newsletters for marketers

Unless you enjoy seeing your inbox flooded with marketing newsletters, the suggestions above are likely enough to keep you updated. But our poll respondents voted for a few others, so here are four who got a few votes.

  • Marketing Brew. Marketing Brew is the marketing news version of Morning Brew, the popular business news newsletter.
  • #SEOForLunch. Another classic curated newsletter. As the name suggests, #SEOForLunch is designed for SEOs to skim over interesting articles during lunch breaks.
  • OkDork. This is the personal newsletter from popular entrepreneur Noah Kagan. Each week you will receive links to content he has produced as well as some recommendations for products, books, etc.
  • Growth tactic according to demand curve. As a bi-weekly newsletter, Growth Tactics provides advanced marketing tips from successful YCombinator founders and marketers.

Final thoughts

You may have noticed that our list has many SEO-related newsletters. That’s probably due to the audience we interviewed.

However, you do not have to subscribe to all of these newsletters. In the end, it all comes down to execution. If you read too many newsletters, analysis paralyzes. It is better to subscribe to the few that you find most interesting to keep up with what’s happening and get new marketing ideas.
